I was facebook stalking Meaghan and saw your blog. Are you really traveling right now? If you are you should swing by Mali. Not exactly on the way. But Egypt, Mali, same continent at least. And you guys can stay at my place. The hand of Fatama is only 6 hrs away. For African transport that means in my back yard. It is some of the best climbing in West Africa.
