Climbing the Petit Grapon in Rocky Mountain National Park

This was quite the adventure – hiking in through a waterfall at dusk to bivouac on the snow, hearing the crash of rocks falling from the cirque walls, waking to elk and marmots 10 feet away from us, and climbing the incredibly steep, 1,000 foot/ 8 pitch route to a table-top summit of the Petit Grapon. The striking summit of the Petit.
A thousand foot drop on three sides.

Congratulations to Dave and Ali!

It was such a great shin dig that Jose even made an appearance.
It is Dug's world, we are just living in it.
